Vijay Katukuri, M.D.
Dr. Vijay Katukuri is a double board-certified pain management physician and the founder of Brevard Spine & Rehab Institute.
After graduating with a bachelor’s in computer science from Oakland University in Michigan as well as working as a software programmer, Dr. Katukuri changed careers and underwent medical training at American University of the Caribbean in Saint Maarten (SXM). Dr. Katukuri went on to receive his specialty post-graduate training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Washington University school of medicine in Saint Louis where he served as the academic chief resident in his final year. He was honored as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation “Resident of the year” in 2011 during his training at Washington University school of medicine. He then went on to receive subspecialty training in Interventional Physiatry/Pain Management driven by his passion to treat patients with painful musculoskeletal conditions.
After finishing his training, Dr. Katukuri worked as an Interventional Pain Management physician for 5 years before he founded Brevard Spine & Rehab Institute to continue his passion in treating patients suffering with different painful conditions.
Dr. Katukuri currently holds an active medical license in the state of Florida.
Dr. Katukuri’s clinical interests are in musculoskeletal psychiatry, and, in particular, curing patients with painful spinal conditions. He also treats sports injuries and has clinical expertise in electromyography and nerve conduction studies.
