Alexandros Pappas, D.O.

Dr. Alexandros Pappas, D.O. is a Board-Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist & Eye Surgeon. 

He is a native to Brevard County, having grown-up locally in Satellite Beach, Florida. After graduating from Satellite High School, he went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Pappas then obtained his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After medical school, he completed a preliminary internship in internal medicine at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.

Dr. Pappas is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is on the medical staff at Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center. Dr. Pappas is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, and the National Medical Association. He has presented research in ophthalmology at national meetings, and has also authored and co-authored several publications in ophthalmology-related medical journals.

Dr. Pappas’ interest in ophthalmology began early, and he has always held a deep appreciation for the profound effect restoring sight can have on a patient’s wellbeing. He specifically enjoys being able to deliver personalized & compassionate patient care, while also surgically managing ophthalmic disease. He has a special interest in cataract surgery, utilizing the latest technologies and techniques to optimize patient outcomes. 

In his free time Dr. Pappas likes to golf, exercise, and spend time with his family.
